LoveLula Beauty Box August 2017

It’s my birthday today and I’m filled with so much gratitude!!! so what better time for me to share the goodies I received in this month’s LoveLula Beauty Box

I had seen loads of spoilers on social media so it wasn’t much of a surprise.

Here’s whats inside:

This month has a nice variety of products and the total value is £55, so as always you’re getting a huge bargain!

Balm Balm Chamomile Floral Water Hydrosol 30ml | £8.50

Made from…Chamomile Flower distillate

Balm Balm Chamomile Floral Water Hydrosol

Mist over sore, inflamed or itchy skin; rashes; cracked nipples or any areas that need a little soothing.  Also perfect for spritzing over bed linen to induce sleepiness.

Suitable for use from newborn but a ‘must-have’ for grown ups too.

Balm Balm Chamomile Floral Water Hydrosol

A handy multi-purpose product.  I spray it on my kids eczema patches as it’s soothing and calms down itchy skin,  I use it as a toner after cleansing and also spritz my face throughout the day.

The scent is quite strong if you’re not keen on the scent of Chamomile, however it doesn’t linger.

PHB’s Award-winning Natural Organic Pencil Eyeliner is enriched with a gentle nourishing formula of plant oils and waxes whilst being richly pigmented for rich, long lasting colour.

These days I hardly wear makeup and I honestly can’t remember the last time I used eye liner.  I already have the PHB eye liner in black which is my preferred colour.  This brown one is very subtle on my skin and is great when I want a natural look.  I wear contact lenses and it’s great having a product that won’t irritate my eyes.

Glossworks 3-in1 9ml £12

A multi-functional product, Glossworks 3-in-1 can be used a Base Coat, a Top Coat and a Hardener. Provides a volumising finish with an extra long lasting glossy shine.

Usage:  Apply one coat to clean nails. Apply another coat after your colour polish to seal and protect.

My nails are constantly peeling and chipping which is annoying.  I’ve been using this product as a nail hardener to help strengthen and protect my nails.  It is a great 3-in 1 product whether used as a base coat, top coat or nail hardener .

It dries really fast with a smooth and glossy finish.

I have to admit I don’t usually paint my nails and frankly I’m rubbish at all that stuff.  I don’t like my nails, they are not in the best condition.  I don’t wear gloves when I do the dishes and afterwards I notice my nails are dry and brittle.

But you know what, I’m really liking this nail polish.  After painting my nails, I couldn’t stop admiring them.  I love the colour!  Even my little girl was quite surprised and was like “mama what did you do? your nails are so pretty, when I grow up can I paint my nails myself too?”  I’m sold now and will make a conscious effort to look after my nails.

I was excited to see Beauty Brews tea in this month’s box.  I don’t drink regular tea or coffee, it’s herbal teas for me, all day long!

Fruity teas are not my thing, especially ones that have apple so my heart sank a bit, I like my strong herby teas.  However I was in for a surprise once this tea brewed.

First of all it smells amazing and I was pleasantly surprised It doesn’t taste as fruity as I expected.  With all the other ingredients, the blend is perfectly balanced.  I really enjoyed the taste, quite warm and refreshing.  Now that I like it, I would definitely purchase the refill.

What do you think of this month’s box?  Have you got any favourites?

Have a lovely weekend.

  1. Yay, another lover of herbal teas! The flavour you’ve got sounds fantastic, would love to try it. I received Mistletoe & Nettle but yours sounds better so feeling a little bit jealous.. 🙂 I also don’t look after my nails and cannot be bothered with nail polishes but I have to admit that the colour of this Glossworks polish is really beautiful. I was going to give this polish away but now I am thinking that maybe I should give it a go.

  2. As someone who doesn’t paint their nails, I would have been hapiier with just one nail varnish and something else, but I did like the other products. I can see why they sometimes try to put in related products, but I think I’d rather 5 unrelated ones that are all different. Happy birthday by the way – hope you’re having fun!

    1. Thank you Kirsty. The only reason why there were 2 nail products is because they just literally launched Glossworks which is part of their brand. Hopefully next month would have more variety 😊

  3. This was my 2nd box, and was dissapointed, I also don’t paint my nails as they are to short, also I don’t wear eye liner, the camomile spray really has an unpleasant smell, but I loved the tea, I got orange and cinnamon which is yummy, hoping for a better box next month x

    1. Aww sorry to hear you are disappointed with this month’s box. I’ve been subscribed for over 2 years and sometimes there are products in there I can’t use myself, especially makeup. Overall it’s still good value for money. Hopefully next month will be more exciting 😊
