What’s inside:

Hesh 100% Pure Virgin Black Seed Oil (100ml | £7.99)

Black seed oil, commonly called for black cumin, is extracted from the seeds of Nigella sativa, a plant native to southwest Asia. Our Black Seed Oil is an amber-hued oil promotes a range of health benefits due to its antioxidant rich properties.

Black seed oil can be used as a remedy for conditions such as allergies, asthma, diabetes, headaches, high blood pressure and digestive disorders.

In addition, black seed oil is said to boost the immune system, reduce inflammation and fight infections both internally but also topically on the skin. The oil can be used topically for skin and hair concerns, such as acne, dry hair, psoriasis, hair growth, and dry skin.

Black seed oil has been used as a natural remedy for thousands of years. The oil has a peppery and mustard-like scent and spicy flavor which I have to say takes a little getting used it.

I’m fine with taking it straight on a teaspoon or you can sprinkle it over salad.

I also like to use it topically on my skin and hair. For a warming massage I add 2 drops of black seed oil to a carrier oil.

For hair growth and scalp health, I warm up 2 tbsp of the oil in my hands and gently massage my scalp for 3 minutes. It feels soothing on my scalp and helps to nourish and enhance hair growth. I leave it on for 45 minutes and then shampoo and condition as usual.

For aromatherapy benefits, you can diffuse the oil using a diffuser or vaporiser. The comforting scent helps to relieve nasal congestion and cold symptoms.

Kathleen Natural Bright Mask (60ml | £28)

Whether you are a time zone-hopping jet setter or simply enjoying a night in, this Bright Mask will give your skin a gorgeous glow. Packed with White Willow Bark and Hibiscus Extracts; both are rich natural acids, which helps to very gently peel your skin, speed up cell turnover, and brighten the skin’s complexion.

Ingredients:

Kaolin (Clay)#, Rose Damascena Flower Distilate#, Glycerin#, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter#, Hibiscus Mutabilis Flower Extract, Salix Alba (White Willow) Bark Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E)#, Origanum Majorana Leaf Oil, Santalum Album Wood (Sandalwood) Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil#, Boswellia Carteri (Frankincense) Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Flower Oil, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Geraniol*, Limonene*, Citronellol*, Linalool*

#Organic * from essential oils

Apply a thin, even layer to freshly cleansed skin. Leave to work for 10-15 minutes. Remove with a warm, damp face cloth and rinse skin thoroughly of any remaining residue.

I was really excited to see this new face mask from Kathleen Natural. Before I had received my box I had read several people mentioning how they had spilled the product when opening it.

The consistency is very runny so make sure the jar is upright when you open it. I have to say it wasn’t very easy to apply either as it dries quickly.

After rinsing my skin felt smoother and brighter. Overall I’m happy with this mask.

KIKI Health Magnesium Oil (125ml | £12.50)

Magnesium is known as the ‘Beautiful Mineral’ in Chinese Medicine and is implicated in many biochemical reactions in the body.

KIKI’s Genuine Zechstein™ Magnesium Oil is a saturated solution of magnesium chloride that is applied directly to the skin, where it is reabsorbed and transported on to the cells. It can be used on any area of the body to increase the body’s overall magnesium levels.

Magnesium has an important role in muscle contractions and neuromuscular signals. When you don’t acquire enough magnesium, your muscles can go into spasms. Magnesium helps muscles to relax and contract, and keep them in good working order.⠀

Ingredients:

Purified water and genuine Zechstein Inside® magnesium chloride (31% magnesium chloride) and other naturally occurring trace minerals.

I have been using magnesium oil for a number of years now. Magnesium present in every organ in the human body and is responsible for 325 chemical reactions inside the body.

Applying it directly to the skin is a convenient and effective way to increase your magnesium levels as it is quickly absorbed into the epidermis.

I apply the spray in the evening after a bath when my pores are open as this helps aid absorption. The first few times you apply the spray you may experience a tingling sensation. This may indicate low magnesium levels and the sensation will lessen the longer you use it

I spray it onto my neck and the rest of my body and leave it to absorb. It relieves muscle tension, helps me wind down and have a good night’s sleep.
