Now that I’m embracing my natural curls, I constantly watch a lot of YouTube product reviews and tutorials on natural hair and rely on my naturalistas stateside to keep me in the loop on what’s new and popular.

My hair gets super dry and thirsty so deep conditioning every week is a must for me.
Just when I thought I’d found my holy grail deep conditioner, in comes Mielle Organics!
Once I opened the jar I was hit with the beautiful, intense, citrusy & minty scent of May Chang, Pink Grapefruit, Peppermint & Spearmint.  I am in love with the scent.  I just like sniffing the jar as a pick-me-up.
I was completely thrown by the thin consistency, I’m used to thick  deep conditioners.
I thought I would have to use a lot to saturate my thick kinky hair but this deep conditioner far exceeded all of my expectations.  Once I applied it to my hair, I realised a little goes a long way.  It has a lot of slip which makes it easy to finger detangle and soaks into my hair well.
I love the tingling sensation on my scalp and after rinsing it out, my hair felt so soft and moisturised and looked healthier.
The only let down for me is the size.  Please hurry up and make a salon size!
This deep conditioner is everything to me, I love love it!!!

The only negative for me is the scent.  It doesn’t smell horrible it’s just not for me.

Our formula features certified organic ingredients like lavender wax and rice bran wax for natural results that help promote healthy hair growth.  **Our 4oz size is 2x larger than other leading edge gel products.**

Water, Ceteareth-25, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Aloe Vera*, Honey*, Lavender Wax, Rice Bran Wax, Octyldodeceth-20, Oleth-2, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ginger Oil*, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Essential Oil Blend.

I’m not really a fan of edge control gels as most of them leave a white film and end up flaking.  Finally this edge gel has given me some hope. The size of the jar is great so will last ages.

It smells amazing and leaves my edges slick without any greasy build up or flakiness.

Overall I’m really pleased with the products I’ve tried so far and can’t wait to try their other products.

Have you tried any products from Mielle Organics?  Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Thanks for reading.
