Review: FaceTox 7 Day Detox Kit

Advertisements

I have been a fan of Rhassoul and Bentonite clay for a few years now. They are both very powerful and effective and I use them regularly to detox my face and hair.

I was recently contacted by FaceTox an organic skincare company based in the UK to review their 7 Day FaceTox Kit.

FaceTox is probably the most powerful face mask you will ever use. The FaceTox blend mixed with 100% organic rose water binds to your face and starts working straight away as it slowly begins to dry. The benefits to your skin are endless. When the organic rose water is mixed with the FaceTox blend, it creates a negative charge and will;

Works on oily as well as sensitive skin types. 100% Cruelty Free. 100% Organic. No Parabens. Vegan Friendly. If its good enough for Cleopatra, its good enough for me!

I usually buy individual jars of Bentonite and Rhassoul clay.  I was eager to try this kit out as I’ve never used both clays combined together.

I really love the FaceTox kit packaging.  They have made it so simple to use.  You get individual clay powder and rose water sachets + a mixing bowl and spoon which makes it also travel friendly.

The kit contains:

If you’re used to healing clays you know it’s important to avoid any metal as this will reduce its effectiveness.

The mixed FaceTox blend (step 1) contains:

How to use:

When I use bentonite or rhassoul clay I tend to mix it with apple cider vinegar or aloe vera juice so I was keen to use it with rose water.

It was easy to mix to a smooth paste, however I found the mixture too thick.  Also once you apply to your face you will have quite a bit leftover.  It is best to store the remaining mixture in a plastic container with a lid in the fridge till next time.

I personally think they should have included less clay in the sachet to create the perfect consistency and ensure you only get one application.

After applying the mask you will feel a pulling and tightening of the skin as the mask begins to set.

Now although you get a 7 day supply kit, I wouldn’t use it everyday.  FaceTox  recommend using the FaceTox Mask 1-2 times per week for 15-20 minutes to start. Once your skin adjusts to the clay, up your usage to 3-4 times per week for up to 30 minutes. Do not leave on for longer than 30 minutes.

Here are my results after rinsing

I have really stubborn black heads and although my skin is dehydrated it tends to get quite congested.

This clay is the perfect magnet for drawing out toxins, blackheads and excess oil in the pores that can cause breakouts.

After using this mask twice a week, my skin felt smoother, brighter and less clogged.

I also decided to use this mask on my hair as I regularly do a hair detox with bentonite or rhassoul clay.

This mask works really well at removing toxins, dandruff and build up on the hair from hair care products.

How to Apply Mask to Hair

After rinsing my hair felt clean without feeling stripped.  My curls were soft, springy and more defined.

Overall I’m really impressed with this kit and will use it regularly.

The FaceTox kit is available in these options:

FaceTox 7 Face Masks – £24.99

FaceTox 14 Face Masks – £43.99

FaceTox 21 Face Masks – £83.99
