I’m a huge fan of subscription boxes and I was recently contacted by TreasureTress and sent a complimentary mini-me box to review.
TreasureTress is a UK monthly product discovery box which launched in November 2015 and caters to young girls and women with naturally kinky, curly, coily, frizzy hair.
I actually heard about the brand through my neighbour and friend Natalie @learntolovecurls as she does a monthly unboxing video.
The box costs £20 a month and you have 3 options:
- Mini-me box – recommended ages 2-9yrs
- Tween box – recommended ages 10-17Yrs
- Qween box – 18+
So here’s what I received:
The packaging is really cute. I love the little girl with an afro opening a treasure chest!
There’s a good selection of products in the box which is great.

Palmers Coconut Oil Conditioning Shampoo
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Conditioning Shampoo is a rich, creamy shampoo, free of sulfates and harsh detergents, that gently cleanses and removes buildup without stripping hair or interrupting its delicate moisture balance.
I have used this shampoo on my little girl and it cleanses well without leaving her hair stripped or tangled.
It has a nice coconut scent.

Palmers Coconut Oil Deep Conditioning Protein Pack
A moisture-intensive treatment that helps strengthen and repair weak, fragile or damaged hair
I can’t use this deep conditioner as it contains ‘silicones’ 🙁

ORS Wide Tooth Comb
A wide tooth comb is always essential.
This is a strong and sturdy comb, really happy with it.

Luster’s Pink Jojoba & Grapeseed Oil
Helps promote healthy hair and skin. This easily absorbed oil locks in moisture, adds a natural shine and nourishes the hair, scalp and skin almost instantly after application
I like this oil, it is very light and has a nice scent.
It doesn’t weigh the hair down and gives incredible shine.

Hair Chemist Coconut Oil Deep Repair Masque
Reconstructor for dry or damaged hair
This masque contains the dreaded ‘silicones’ so I’ll give it away!

ORS Shealicious Scalp Relief
This pure oil mixer contains a soothing mélange of avocado and rosemary oils to help alleviate dry and itchy scalp.
So this is like a DIY treatment which comes in 2 parts, you simply pour the oil into the conditioner and mix.
The packaging reminds me of Muller yoghurt and I like the concept. However I wasn’t thrilled with the ingredients….so I won’t be using it!
