Greenfrog Story
Nick and Julie Bridger met in Thailand and lived together in India, where they started their young family.
It was while living in Delhi that they both discovered the magical soapberries, in a busy bazaar, learning that these berries had been used for centuries in the Himalayas for washing silk, hands and bodies. But little did they know that these berries were also the start of something bigger.
What are soapnuts?
Soapberries, also called Soapnuts are actually a small fruit of the Sapindus Mukorossi tree which is found naturally growing in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains.
The skin of this fruit contains plant saponin, a totally natural gentle soap that has been used for centuries to clean skin and clothes.
Soapberry saponin is perfect for the skin. It creates a lather that is PH balanced, wonderfully moisturising and gentle cleanses the skin. It really is the gentlest, kindest, most natural soap you can use on your skin.
Nick and Julie knew that there was something special about soapberries, and wanted to give everyone the chance to experience their luxurious benefits. They originally began production in India but as Greenfrog became more popular and stocks started to run low production was moved to Sussex, UK.
All Greenfrog Botanic products are made with organic soapberries, antioxidant, moisturising, natural Aloe Vera and calming yet uplifting essential oils such as Geranium & Peppermint or Neroli & Lime for wonderfully smelling, pampered skin.
Greenfrog Botanic premium range is registered by the Vegetarian and Vegan societies, with minimum 72% organic dry content, 0% paraben, SLS, palm oil, phosphates and no nasty chemicals. Greenfrog products are entirely biodegradable and have minimal ecological impact.

If like most people you associate suds or lots of lather with a product working, you won’t get that with these products. I’ve used soapnuts for laundry so I wasn’t expecting a great deal of lather.
The consistency is nice and silky and has a very gentle lather. I find it lathers more when I use a bath mitt. I have dry skin so I’m very fussy. I’m loving these body washes… I find them quite soothing, plus they do the job well and don’t strip my skin but leaves it clean and soft.
As I’ve mentioned before I’m not much of a morning person, so the geranium & peppermint body wash is a great pick-me-up for my morning shower. The refreshing scent of peppermint and floral geranium helps lift my mood. The Neroli & Lime body wash has a lovely zesty scent which is refreshing and uplifting.
Now as my kids and hubby have eczema, these body washes are great for them as they are very mild and natural without causing any flare ups.

The handwash is similar to the body washes…silky consistency and gentle lather. My hands are super dry so it’s great using this moisturising handwash .
I love the refreshing scent of geranium and peppermint which leaves my hands delicately scented.
