One of my favourite ways to de-stress and relax is using aromatherapy. I love to use essential oils that help me to relax, de-stress and calm my body and mind. The therapeutic qualities enable me to cope better during stressful situations.
If like me you love aromatherapy, then you’ll be familiar with
Absolute Aromas was founded in 1994 by David Tomlinson. His vision was for a centre of excellence where therapists and consumers alike could buy with confidence. The keyword for the range would be quality.
Now Absolute Aromas is one of the leading forces in aromatherapy within the UK and has a worldwide reputation for quality of product and service.
They have an unparalleled range of over 140 essential oils and a wide selection of carrier oils and base products for the discerning therapist. They also stock a selection of pre blended oils and massage blends, floral waters, bath salts and aromatherapy accessories that allow the full benefits of aromatherapy to be enjoyed by all.
Their product range are not tested on animals, neither do they commission any testing on animals on their behalf, they believe it to be wholly unnecessary and inappropriate.
After the busy festive season, this is an excellent time to make time for yourself. I’ve been trying out some products sent to me by Absolute Aromas.

I love using bath salts and this one is amazing. The scent creates a sense of warmth and tranquility. For a luxurious bath pour under warm running water and gently swirl the water until totally dissolved. Step in, soak away the stresses of the day and indulge in pure relaxation.
Himalayan salt is mineral rich and soaking in the bath salts helps my body absorb these essential minerals. It also helps detox the body and is great for soothing muscle aches and pains. Afterwards I feel so calm and relaxed and this is a perfect way to wind down before bedtime. My skin is also noticeably softer afterwards.

This is a lovely salt scrub with an incredibly soothing scent. Exfoliating the skin is vital to help get rid of the buildup of dead skin cells. Some of the benefits include:
- Removing dull and dead skin cells, revealing younger, healthy looking skin
- Helps thoroughly cleanse clogged skin pores
- Stimulates blood circulation and helps eliminate toxins
- Helps improve skin tone
- Allows absorption of body products…..
This scrub has some good carrier oils with amazing moisturising benefits. They also help the scrub glide over the skin when massaged onto damp skin.
I love this scrub, it is such a pampering treat and afterwards my skin feels refined, softer and smoother. I also don’t have to use a moisturiser afterwards and my skin is delicately scented too.

Absolute Aromas Tuberose Absolute 3% Dilution (10ml | £11.50)
A fragrant night-blooming flower that has a beautiful, sweet fragrance with spicy tones, reminscent of honeysuckle .

Tuberose is one of my favourite scents… with a sensuous fragrance which is intoxicating, sweet, floral with spicy undertones.
It has relaxing, uplifting, de-stressing properties and is especially effective for dispelling depression, anxiety and negativity.
As it is already diluted in 3% Jojoba you can use it directly on the skin as a perfume. I also like to add a few drops to some carrier oil or my DIY whipped body butter.
