Review – Fitzjohn Skincare Golden Body Oil

I attended the Natural & Organic Products Europe trade show back in April. While I was there I was introduced to Ethel Fitzjohn, founder of Fitzjohn Skin Care.

I hadn’t heard about her brand so we had a nice chat while I sampled her display products. She kindly gave me her Golden Body Oil to review.

Now let me tell you a bit about Ethel and her brand….

Fitzjohn Skincare is an award winning, British brand creating premium, plant-based skin care for the face and body in the heart of England.

Ethel Fitzjohn worked in the colour cosmetics industry. She was a professionally trained make-up artist and former commercial photographic model. She carried out thousands of makeovers nationwide and women constantly asked her for skin care recommendations because they were confused by all the products on offer that promised much, but sadly delivered little. After having suffered skin concerns herself brought on by pollution whilst living in London for many years, Ethel decided to cut through this confusion by creating her own natural skin care range that did “what it said on the tin”.

Ethel combined the influences of an international heritage – a paternal Great Grandfather who was a successful Herbalist in Kidderminster and a tradition of African herbal medicine on her Mother’s side – with a lifelong interest in Aromatherapy and natural medicine. She decided to develop, formulate and manufacture her own luxury, natural skin care product range offering products that were not only skin-compatible, effective and naturally fragranced, but also glamorously packaged to look beautiful on your dressing table or bathroom shelf.

Ingredients:

Prunus Armeniaca seed oil, Macadamia Ternifolia seed oil, Cocos Nucifera, Moringa Oleifera seed oil, Passiflora Edulis seed oil, Tocopherol, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, Parfum, Citronellol, D-Limonen, Geraniol, Linalool.

I love my body oils and this one is a lightweight blend that smells absolutely divine thanks to Frangipani absolute. It has a very exotic scent with floral, sweet, warm and spicy notes.

The packaging is lovely and the pump makes it easy to dispense just what you need.

I apply it straight after a shower/bath while my skin is still damp and it absorbs quickly into the skin. I love that it doesn’t leave my skin greasy so I can step out with silky soft, smooth and glowing summer skin.

It also works well as a hair oil, I apply a small amount to seal in moisture in my hair and it leaves it soft and shiny.

Now it’s a little bit pricey but a little goes a long way and it’s a luxurious treat your skin deserves!
