Afrocenchix is a multi award-winning natural hair care company founded by Rachael Corson and Joycelyn Mate.

They launched a crowdfunding campaign back in 2018 to help them expand their product range, scale up manufacturing, update their packaging and grow their team. I supported this campaign and got to trial their new conditioner and styler before they launched.
Today I’m sharing my wash day routine using their newly launched silicone-free conditioner and styling products.
Afrocenchix Swirl – Silicone-Free Conditioner (250ml | £14.95)
Our silicone-free, vegan conditioner delivers ultimate slip for easy detangling and conditioning — without the chemical nasties. I was super excited to try their highly requested and long awaited silicone free conditioner!
This conditioner is super creamy and has amazing slip which makes detangling such a breeze. The scent is refreshing thanks to the fragrant blend of citrus essential oils.
After shampooing my hair, I section my hair into 4 and apply the conditioner to each section.
I sit under my hair steamer for 15 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. My hair feels so unbelievably soft and hydrated afterwards.
Afrocenchix Sheen – Natural Moisturising Spray (250ml | £11.95)
Our lightweight, refreshing moisturising spray delivers moisture to dry/frizzy strands and is the perfect product for combating breakage. With Aloe Vera and Grape Seed, this simple natural formula moisturises and revives frizzy, curly and Afro hair without leaving build up. Sheen prevents breakage and moisturises protective styles including twists, braids and up-dos. Contains 97% natural ingredients!

Afrocenchix Seal – Moisture Locking Hair Oil (200ml | £15.99)
100% natural hair oil designed to lock in moisture on dry frizzy, curly and Afro hair. Packed with super ingredients like Coconut and Jojoba oil, our blend is the perfect product to combat breakage as it aids growth through sealing in the moisture. Seal keeps afro hair moisturised as it emulates the natural sebum produced on the scalp, locking in maximum moisture for easy manipulation. Great when used with Smooth natural moisturising cream.

To style my hair I layer the products on my hair using the LCO methods.
L – Apply a Liquid.
SHEEN is a water-based moisturiser that is lightweight and delivers much needed moisture to my hair. The PH balanced formula helps water to enter the hair shaft and keep those hydrogen bonds maintained for strong and manageable hair.
The spray applicator allows you to apply moisture quickly and easily and is great for refreshing your hair.
C – Layer on a Cream.
SMOOTH is one of my staple cream moisturisers. The consistency is nice and creamy and it absorbs well into my hair strands. It packs alot of moisture but doesn’t weigh my hair down or cause build up.
My hair is defined, soft and moisturised.
O – Seal in the moisture with an Oil.
SEAL is a lightweight oil that doesn’t feel greasy or weigh my hair down. The pump bottle makes application easy, I apply one pump into my hands and apply to my hair after I use SMOOTH to help lock in moisture, reduce frizz and add shine. My hair is able to retain moisture and stays moisturised for day.
These products are amazing and work beautifully on my hair. My hair also smells amazing thanks to the beautiful aroma of the fragrant citrus essential oil blend.
