I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis of the knee about two years ago. I’ve had a few physiotherapy sessions and I’ve been trying to manage the pain. I’ve found aromatherapy massage helps a great deal. Today I will be sharing a massage oil I’ve found to be very effective.

SOiL was born out of our family managed, organic essential oil farming operation in Zululand, Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa.

It is here that we have been growing and distilling aromatic plants for their precious oils since 2001. As an eco-ethical range certified by ECO-Cert , SOiL was the first company in South Africa to sell a complete range of 100% certified organic essential oils, many of which we grow ourselves on our organic farm in Zululand. We also launched South Africa’s first line of certified organic massage oil blends and body care products, which we expand and grow year by year.

SOiL Organic Arnica Athletic Massage Oil – 100ml

The Organic Arnica Athletic massage blend is a soothing blend with Arnica, for bruised and aching muscles. Promotes circulation, release muscle tension and refreshes muscle tissue.

Contains:
Arnica to ease muscle pain,
Rosemary and Black Pepper to promote circulation, release muscle tension and refresh muscle tissue,
Lavender to soothe and relax.

Our organic massage blends contain high quality, cold pressed carrier oils and essential oils, which have been specially selected for their therapeutic properties to make easy-to-use massage oils, formulated with a specific purpose in mind.

When applied to the body, the synergy of essential oils penetrate the skin and reach the body tissues and systems, via the bloodstream, in a matter of minutes. The plant oils we use as carrier oils in our blends are nourishing and prevent dehydration of the epidermis, thus helping to preserve the skin’s elasticity.

I’ve been using this massage oil for well over a month and it’s been amazing. The consistency is light and it absorbs well into the skin. The scent is warm and deeply aromatic.

This is a versatile oil, it can be used as a massage oil, added to the bath for a luxurious and therapeutic experience or applied directly to the skin to moisturise.

I like to use it as a massage oil after a bath/shower. It softens the skin and has a warming effect which helps promote blood circulation. It helps to relieve muscle tension, inflammation, stiffness and aches.

This massage oil is perfect after sports activities or whenever you need relief from sore and tired muscles and joints.

Have you got any favourite massage oil blends?
