My Bedtime Ritual To Unwind And Sleep Better

Trouble sleeping? We all know the importance of getting a good night’s sleep, it is vital for our physical, mental and emotional health. Many of us regularly struggle to get quality sleep. A lack of good quality sleep usually leaves me tired, irritable and unproductive the next day.

I love a good night-time ritual to help me unwind, relax my body and calm my mind. Here are some products I’ve been using to help me sleep beautifully 😴

About an hour before bedtime, I prepare for a blissful night’s sleep by following this routine…

  1. Take a Warm Bath

This bath soaking Himalayan salt has been created for the purpose of ultimate relaxation and detoxing the body.

When Epsom, Himalayan and sea salt is absorbed through the skin, it draws toxins from the body, sedates the nervous system and relaxes the muscles. There’s simply nothing better than a relaxing bath at the end of a long day. This bath salt is deeply soothing, helps me unwind and does wonders helping me relax in time for bed.

  1. Apply sleep balm

I’m a huge fan of Kiss The Moon and this is one my favourite sleep balms.

I apply a small amount to my temples and wrists, massage gently and breathe in the sweet, soothing aroma. The blend of shea butter and sea buckthorn oil nourishes the skin while the essential oil blend of Jasmine, Chamomile, Ylang ylang and Sandalwood helps to calm the mind and body.

  1. Turn on essential oil diffuser

Bloomtown Sleep – Blend of 100% Pure Essential Oils (10ml)

Valerian, Cedarwood, Lavender and Chamomile each have powerful sleep-inducing effects, and this blend is more than the sum of its parts: deeply relaxing, almost hypnotic in its ability to  calm your breath and make your eyes feel heavy, we highly recommend a few drops in your bath before bed or in a diffuser as you unwind…you’ll find yourself drifting off in no time!

I add a few drops of this sleep blend to my essential oil diffuser. As the vapour drifts out, it fills my bedroom with the sublime soothing, calming and relaxing aroma of Valerian, Cedarwood, Lavender and Chamomile. The aroma creates a peaceful and calming atmosphere and turns my bedroom into a sleep haven.

This sleep blend is also perfect for:
– Adding to your bath or shower
– Blending with carrier oils for massage

  1. Apply sleep mist to pillows and bedding

Use up to 5 pumps of the spray, on bed sheets, pillow cases or over the bed. Lying in the bed, take 10 slow, deep inhalations to completely relax the mind and body.

This is the most effective sleep mist I’ve used to help me naturally drift off to sleep.
