If you’ve read my previous Mielle Organics review then you’ll know I’m a huge fan of the brand.
I’ve had my hair in braids for the last 6 weeks and after taking them out I knew my hair would need some serious TLC.
One thing I’ve found since being natural is that my hair requires more care and time. A typical wash day involves pre-poo, washing, detangling, deep conditioning and styling. So we’re talking patience and most importantly the right products.
This month’s box includes 4 full sized products to make your hair regimen simple…wash, condition and style.
What I love most about these products is that they compliment each other.
Let’s get started on how I use them and my thoughts.
Step 1:
MIELLE ORGANICS BABASSU OIL CONDITIONING SULFATE-FREE SHAMPOO 8OZ
The consistency is slightly runny but a little goes a long way.
It gently cleanses my scalp and hair without that stripped feeling and has a nice minty scent.
Step 2:
MIELLE ORGANICS BABASSU OIL & MINT DEEP CONDITIONER 8OZ
If you’ve read my previous review you’d know I fell in love with this conditioner after the first use.
I’m used to super thick deep conditioners so I was a bit thrown by the consistency the first time. However this is one product I underestimated… a case of don’t judge a conditioner by it’s consistency!
I’m all about scents and the vibrant citrusy & minty scent of May Chang, Pink Grapefruit, Peppermint & Spearmint completely mesmerises me.
I also love the tingling sensation on my scalp.
It’s important to get the balance of protein and moisture in your hair regimen and what’s great about this product is it’s a 2 in 1 protein + moisture treatment.
The consistency is perfect and allows my hair to absorb more moisture as it soaks into my hair rather than just coating it. It also allows me to use my fingers to comb through tangles and easily separate my curls.
After applying it, I either sit under my hair steamer for 15 minutes or apply a shower cap for 30 minutes.
My hair always feels wonderful – super soft, looks healthier and smells amazing!
Step 3:
MIELLE ORGANICS MINT ALMOND OIL 8OZ
No mineral oil or paraffin! 3 simple ingredients which are all natural.
Almond oil is really light and beneficial to the scalp and hair.
Peppermint oil works wonders on the scalp. It penetrates the hair follicles and stimulates circulation which helps promote hair growth.
It also helps normalise the scalp so great for those with dry, itchy scalp and dandruff.
I like to section my hair and apply the oil to my scalp and hair strands.
I gently massage my scalp for a few minutes and it leaves a tingly cooling sensation on my scalp. Love it!
Step 4:
MIELLE ORGANICS MOISTURISING AVOCADO HAIR MILK 8OZ
The final step in my regimen. I love this hair milk, it has a creamy consistency and yummy tropical scent
It leaves my curls soft, moisturised and well defined without weighing it down or leaving any greasy build up
All these products also work very well on my mini-me’s. They have launched a new range for tinys and tots which I’ve now got my eyes on!
