Summer holidays are finally here and I’m so pleased to have some down time. It’s been pretty hectic!
As always it’s time to share the lovely goodies from this month’s LoveLula Beauty Box.

I was in need of a new mascara and was pleased to try this one from PHB which is a lovely true black. The brush is easy to apply and I find I only need one coat on my lashes without any clumping. I’m pretty impressed with this ~ my lashes were pretty and had great volume and length but still looked natural as I’m not a fan of over the top lashes.
The formula is great for sensitive eyes which is an added bonus as I wear contact lenses. It was easy to remove at night with my cleansing oil. I would definitely recommend this.
Lyonsleaf Marshmallow Soften and Rejuvenate Facial Oil 30ml | £12.99
An extraordinary oil, light and easily absorbed, yet rich and deeply nourishing. This oil is host to a range of five star ingredients in very meaningful quantities. Rich in antioxidants to halt damaging chain reactions caused by free radicals and a broad range of fatty acids that boost lipid content, bolstering skin barrier and helping the skin retain moisture.
I’m a big fan of Lyonsleaf and was pleased to see this new product. This oil is jam packed with nourishing oils. The texture is surprisingly light and absorbs easily. I prefer to use it at night after cleansing to help repair and rejuvenate my skin. It really helps to soften my skin and help with dehydration.
It does have a strong scent, but I quite like it, a combination of warm, woodsy from Vetiver; floral from Geranium and rose flower.
REN Satin Perfection BB cream 3ml (Full size 50ml – £29)
A silicone free BB cream with colour adaptive technology. It adjust to a wide range of skin tones and leaves the skin looking flawless, even toned and luminous with a perfect non-oily, satin finish.
This BB cream is obviously not suitable for my skin tone so I have to give it away.
John Masters Organics Travel Size Spearmint & Meadowsweet Scalp Stimulating Shampoo 60ml | £6
This purifying shampoo optimizes scalp conditions for healthy, manageable hair. Six certified-organic ingredients remove buildup and stimulate the scalp while soy proteins hydrate hair and lock in moisture.

I love John Masters and I’ve used this shampoo previously. It is one of the shampoos that works well for me as it doesn’t leave my hair stripped. It lathers well and leaves my scalp and hair squeaky clean and refreshed. It smells amazingly fresh and I just love the minty sensation on my scalp, it’s great for unclogging pores and increases blood circulation which in turn helps encourage hair growth.
Madara Smart Antioxidants Fine Line Minimising Cream – Day
(full size 50ml – £35)
This rich, youth-preserving cream melts into the skin and provides comfort and protection all day long. Formulated with an age-defying SMART ANTIOXIDANT complex of Lichen, Moss, Fern, and Alchemilla to deliver intense hydration, reverse the first signs of ageing, and smooth out fine lines. Natural antioxidants provide continuous defence to preserve collagen and promote resilience and firmness of the skin.
I don’t need to reverse ageing or smooth out fine lines so it’s hard to tell how effective this cream is. However for me it’s a lovely cream. The texture is light and absorbs quickly and leaves my skin well hydrated.

I was really happy with this month’s box. The bb cream wasn’t right for my skin, but I enjoyed everything else. I think my favourite was the cream from Madara – I really like their products!
