The Ohm Collection Deo Dorant Gardenia Review

I’ve tried quite a few natural deodorants since I made the switch a few years ago.  Some had worked very well and others have been a definite miss.

I’ve even followed a recipe and made my own bicarb deodorant!

Once you stop using conventional deodorants and antiperspirants, you realise that sweat is normal.  Yes, sweating is totally natural and normal!  Our bodies use it to eliminate toxins and regulate temperature.

I’m always on the look out for a new deodorant and when I spotted The Ohm Collection I decided to give it a try.

The Ohm Collection is a Dutch brand that consists of a group of young pioneers (and some old) who love to create products that work. Beautiful and effective products that benefit both people and planet.

The Ohm Deo dorant is available in ten different scents: Sacred Frankincense, Jasmine, Gardenia, Patchouli , Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, Lavender, Rose, Cedar, Neroli and Coconut.
I decided to try the Gardenia version as it’s one of my favourite scents.

The Ohm Collection Deo Dorant Powder – Gardenia – 120g | £21

The Ohm Deo Dorant from the Ohm Collection is a safe, sensual deodorant that lasts longer, smells better and stays drier safely, more than anything on the market.

It’s so effective due to our wild crafted, cold pressed Ohm Blend®. The Ohm Blend® keeps smells and damaging clothes stains away and alkalizes, but mostly we made it to be the most safe & effective deodorant.

Because our roots are Hawaiian we have used Gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides). It’s one of the most precious oils in the world and known for its heavenly aroma and fragrance. Our gardenia is Natural (compared to the most) and wildcrafted. Gardenia flower is commonly used in Chinese herbal medicine.

Gardenia has a rich, feminine, perfectly balanced floral aroma.

There are 3 different openings for dispensing the powder.  I tend to use the smallest opening as you only need a small amount, so I really don’t know why they decided to add the very large opening.

The powder is very fine and the gardenia scent is quite subtle, not as strong as I would have liked.

How To Use:

Put some powder on your fingertips and apply gently under your armpits (Do not rub).

Although I’ve used bicarb based deodorants before I’ve never tried one in powder form.

My first experience wasn’t a pleasant one, the application takes a bit of getting used to.  However once I applied it, I immediately felt a burning sensation which I have previously experienced using bicarb.  Afterwards I developed a rash so I decided to stop using it, give my skin time to heal and then try again.

The next time I tried it I decided to use a smaller amount and I didn’t experience any stinging, burning or rash.  It was effective at eliminating odour, the gardenia scent doesn’t last long as I said it’s quite subtle but at the end of the day I wasn’t smelly.  It doesn’t leave my armpits white once its absorbed and doesn’t leave white marks on my clothes which is great.

I’ll definitely continue to use this as it’s working ok for me but I won’t purchase again as I’ve used far better ones.  I find deodorants are such a personal thing, so they key is to find the formula that works for you.

Have you tried The Ohm Collection?  I’d love to hear your experiences.
