LoveLula Beauty Box December 2017

Christmas day is fast approaching and it’s nearly the end of another year! I honestly can’t believe we are nearly at the end of 2017!!!

I’ve had a busy couple of weeks and I’m just looking forward to some down time. So December’s LoveLula Beauty Box has arrived and I was pretty excited to see the contents.

I was hoping December’s box would be Christmas themed, however it has a nice mix of products and the total value of this box is £58!!!

Madara SOS Hydra Moisture + Radiance Mask 60ml | £35

A velvety wipe off or leave on treatment to deliver instant and long lasting hydration. Lightweight and luxurious, this mask is packed with moisturising sugars, smoothing hyaluronic acid and an age-defying blend of Northern Peony and Linseed.

Easy to apply, it leaves the skin feeling supple, soft and comfortably plumped. Scientifically proven to increase ceramide synthesis and reduce water loss, it protects form future dehydration.

This mask has been featured in a previous box, I think it was a sample size so I was happy to receive the full-size.

I suffer from dehydration and my skin tends to be sensitive so I love products that specifically target hydration. The texture is creamy and light-weight and the scent is lovely. I like to use it twice a week or more if my skin needs it. I tend to alternate between leaving it on for 15-20 mins and then wiping off; or leaving it on overnight if my skin needs more TLC. It delivers intense hydration without any greasiness.

Dr. Hauschka Hydrating Mask sample (full size | £39.50)

Hydrating Mask imparts moisture-retaining qualities to dry, sensitive and mature skin. The blend of botanicals soothes, protects and revitalizes while sealing in moisture, leaving skin feeling smooth and supple. Applying this mask offers rich protection for your skin.

Ingredients:

This was my first time using this mask and it’s not for me. The scent was nice but I found it too greasy for my skin, it just seemed to sit on my skin rather than penetrate it. After leaving it on for 20 mins and removing with a warm muslin, it took a while to remove and left a film on my skin. This mask would be more appropriate for those with super dry parched skin.

Mossa Miracle Peel sample (full size 60ml | £15)

Mossa is an eco-cosmetics brand created by Madara. Its skincare products are developed based on the vitamin formulae of the unique, organic, ECOCERT certified Nordic berries.

I’ve heard many people raving about this brand so I was curious to try out their mask. The mask is really gentle, so it’s great for people who avoid exfoliating scrubs. I apply to cleansed skin and leave for 10 mins. It gently exfoliates dead skin cells, revealing smoother, softer and brighter skin. I got 2 uses out of the sample and will definitely purchase the full size.

UrbanVeda Radiance Day Cream (full size 50ml | £18.99)

Naturally formulated using Ayurvedic principles, UrbanVeda’s rich and opulent Radiance Day Cream contains nourishing peptides and brightening botanicals of Marigold and Coriander for a glowing complexion. Brimming with antioxidants, this bioactive infusion imparts a luminosity to skin, by evening skin tone, boosting radiance and helping to tackle signs of hyperpigmentation.

Ingredients:

I’ve tried this cream in a previous box. The consistency is creamy and absorbs well into my skin, leaving it moisturised. However the scent is overpowering, like a synthetic perfume plus their ingredient list is not as clean as I would like.

UrbanVeda Reviving Renewal Night Cream sample (full size 50ml | £19.99)

Uplift waning skin by applying this replenishing concentrated night cream containing hydrating Rose Damask flower water, organic Pomegranate juice and collagen-boosting Arjuna. Rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, Rosehip, Evening Primrose, Jasmine and Borage combine to help relax and improve the appearance of fine lines, restoring suppleness and elasticity.

Ingredients:

Another cream from Urbanveda I’ve tried … it has a lovely creamy consistency and is moisturising. But again the scent just kills it for me…overpowering and perfume-like.

UrbanVeda Radiance Facial Oil sample (30ml | £29.99)

Brightening Liquorice combines with anti-inflammatory organic turmeric and antioxidant-rich papaya to heal blemishes. Supporting elasticity and restoring suppleness, Radiance Facial Oil helps skin to retain its natural glow.

Ingredients:

I’m a fan of facial oils and this was a new one for me. The oil is lightweight and absorbs easily without any greasy residue. The scent is strong but not as perfumey as the other products. The full size also comes with a hefty price so not a product I would purchase!

I’m a big fan of PHB Ethical but I don’t regularly use lip liner so I’ll be passing this on to a friend.

Another great product from PHB Ethical. The applicator is easy to use and glides on well. however it takes some getting used to and requires a steady hand. The finish is great and it doesn’t irritate my eyes.

So this rounds up the last LoveLula beauty box of 2017! It’s been a great year and I’ve loved discovering new brands and products.
