The first LoveLula Beauty box of 2018 has arrived. I’ve been eagerly awaiting to see what goodies we would get.
January’s LoveLula Beauty Box has a whopping total value of over £71!!!
Now while this is amazing value for money, I wasn’t overly excited to see the same familiar brands and products. Now don’t get me wrong, these are all brands I love but Madara, Laidbare and PHB Ethical Beauty are heavily featured brands in previous boxes. Plus there was only 1 new product for me and I couldn’t use it anyway.
I would love for them to switch things up, give us a break from the same old brands and introduce us to new brands and products.
Here’s what’s in the box:
MOA Fortifying Green Bath Potion 100ml | £27.50
De-stress the mind and relieve aches and pains with this concentrated, revitalising, magical bath potion. An invigorating herbal blend, sure to put the spring back in your step after a long, tiring day.
With skin toning, refreshing peppermint, detoxifying fennel, calming, relaxing fir needle and sweet birch to ease achy muscles and help to soften the skin.
Ingredients:
This winter is absolutely cold and these days I just long for a soak in the bath at the end of the day. This bath potion is perfect for refreshing the mind and body, soothing any aches and pains and also great to relief congestion and cold symptoms.
This has been featured in a previous box and I absolutely enjoyed using it so I was super happy to receive the full size. The scent is refreshing and it packs a punch. For me 2 capfuls is enough as it’s quite potent. I have cold hands and feet and it helps to increase blood flow and circulation. After a soak in the bath I feel so refreshed, it is truly amazing. Definitely a must-have in your bathroom!
Madara Time Miracle Total Renewal Night Cream 20ml | £20
This richly nutritious yet fast-absorbing night-time moisturiser instantly softens, hydrates and recharges the skin, continuing to work overnight to rebuild dermal collagen and elastin fibres and activate cell processes for smoother, rested and radiant skin. Formulated with MÁDARA’s proprietary CELL REPAIR BIO-COMPLEX and rejuvenating Northern Birch juice.
Ingredients:
This night cream has been featured in a previous box and is a lovely night cream. It is non-greasy, smells lovely and absorbs quickly. My skin feels soft and hydrated.
PHB Ethical Beauty Brightening Eye Gel with Organic Eyebright & Neroli 15ml | £16.95
PHB’s Brightening eye treatment targets and helps visibly reduce dark circles and puffiness. It contains Eyebright, Neroli and White Birch oil, which synergise to boost micro-circulation whilst lightening and hydrating the delicate eye area, reducing the appearance of dark circles and discolouration.
Ingredients:
Another previously featured product. I’ve figured out I prefer eye gel to cream based eye creams. I love the scent of neroli and the gel feels nice and cooling on my skin. It’s a refreshing treat for tired or puffy eyes, absorbs well and doesn’t leave a sticky residue.
Laidbare Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow! Hair Minimising Moisturiser 125ml | £6.99
Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow contains a synergistic botanical complex of Liquorice Extract, Caffeine, and Horse Chestnut Seed Extract, which in combination slows down hair growth and re-growth by maintaining the hair cells in their growth stage, with a inhibiting effect. Our blend also acts as an anti-inflammatory to help the skin protect itself from the potential rigours of hair removal.
Ingredients:
Aqua(water), aloe barbadensis(aloe vera)leaf juice, polysorbate 20(naturally derived emulsifier, glycerin (coconut)common, cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone(silicone), dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol(naturally derived preservative), mannitol(botanical), ammonium glycyrrhizate(liquorice), caffeine(coffee), aesculus hippocastanum(horse chestnut) extract, zinc gluconate(zinc irons), citrus medica limonum(lemon) peel oil, xanthum gum(naturally derived thickener), citrus aurantifolia (lime)oil, betula alba(birch) leaf extract, althaea officinalis(marshmallow) root extract, potassium sorbate (naturally derived preservative), sodium benzoate(naturally derived preservative), limonene(essential oil), citral (essential oil).
This is a new product for me and I’ve never tried a hair minimising moisturiser before. I was keen to try it out until I saw the ingredients…. it contains SILICONES! which I always avoid. So I will be passing this product on.
Overall this box was pretty average for me as the only product I was excited to see was the MOA bath potion.
I do hope next month will be more exciting and we’ll get to try new brands.
What do you think of this month’s box?

I preferred this one to the December one! I haven’t actually tried any of these products, although Madara is one of my favourites. I will use all of the products in this month’s box, but I agree it would be good to see some new brands being featured.
Madara is great and I’ve got lots of their products. Need to see some new brands going forward.
This month’s LoveLula beauty box is indeed amazing value for money and I think it’s great for those who are new to green beauty. But if you are familiar with all the brands and want something different, then yes, I can understand why it is not so exciting. Hopefully next month they will feature different brands.
Yes Petra it’s amazing value and don’t get me wrong the brands are great. It’s just that many people are familiar with those brands and it seems just about every other box has those 3 brands I mentioned.
