The weather has been doing it’s own thing lately, we’ve had snow in March which is crazy. I long for the sunshine and we’ve had a few sunny days so it seems that Spring has finally sprung!
This month’s LoveLula Beauty Box has definitely cheered me up. There is a nice selection of products…six products in total including 3 full sized products.
The box is worth £43 so yet again amazing value for money.
I’ve been trying them out, so it’s time to share my thoughts…
Laidbare Guess My Age Anti-Ageing Treatment Cream 50ml | £9.99
We all know that age is only a number, so keep people guessing! This amazingly effective new anti-wrinkle treatment is enriched with Active Prodejine which works to strengthen the bonds between the skin layers to create a lifted effect, resulting in smoother, younger looking skin.
The formulation is a must for all ages, whether you are just starting to detect the first few fine lines, or whether you have deeper, more established wrinkles.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Glycerin (Coconut), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Coconut), Glyceryl Stearate (Palm Kernal), Isopropyl Myristate (Palm Oil), Cetearyl Alcohol (Palm Kernal Oil), Cetearyl Glucoside (Sugar), Mannitol (Botanical), Cyclodextrin (Yeast), Disodium Succinate (Synthetic), Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol (Naturally Derived Preservative), Passiflora Incarnata (Passion) Flower Oil, Squalane (Olive Derived), Xanthan Gum (Naturally Derived Thickener), Citrus Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Peel Oil, Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Laminaria Japonica (Japanese Seaweed) Extract, Potassium Sorbate (Naturally Derived Preservative), Sodium Benzoate (Naturally Derived Preservative), Citral (Essential Oils), Limonene (Essential Oils).
This is a new product for me so I was keen to try it out. Now the scent wasn’t for me, it just kinda had this synthetic scent that put me off. The consistency is light and it absorbs well. After applying it my skin felt tingly and started to itch. I can’t figure out why but it contains ‘isopropyl myristate‘ which I generally avoid as it can lead to clogged pores.
So anyway this cream is a miss for me sadly.
Elsa’s Organic Skin Foods – Ocean Deodorant 45g | £10
Fresh breezy scent with stimulating peppermint boosted with healing antibacterial Tea tree, rose geranium and patchouli. Although this scent is energising it inspires a sense of peace, reflecting the ying and yang of the deep seas. Appropriate for both men and women.
So good Ocean won Gold for Best Deodorant last July in the Janey Loves Platinum Awards 2017.
This is a 4 in 1 deodorant stick which will deodorise, soothe, detoxify & nourish the skin. Its formula is rich in minerals, vitamins, essential fatty acids and easily absorbs into skin cells without blocking the pores
- Organic coconut oil has disinfectant and anti microbial properties
- Our pure essential oil blend provides perspiration and odour minimisation.
- Arrowroot powder absorbs wetness
- Magnesium and Himalayan Pink Salt neutralise odour fast
- Kaolin clay detoxifies by bringing out impurities
Gently apply to clean, dry areas for a couple of seconds, and swipe 1-2 times (your body heat will soften the stick).
A little goes a long way!
I’ve heard people raving about Elsa’s natural deodorant so I was pleased to see it featured this month. Now I’ve been using my favourite bicarb deodorant so I wanted to see how this one compared. Application is easy, the deodorant seems firm but once you swipe on the skin it softens on application. It is quite buttery so don’t use too much or you’ll end up with greasy armpits.
It has a fresh minty scent and performed well. It kept me dry and odour at bay all day so I’m quite impressed with it.

A pure, gentle daily shampoo to cleanse, nourish and soften any type of hair. Contains a delicate infusion of aloe vera, nettle, horsetail and burdock. Perfect for sensitive scalps.
Ingredients:
This shampoo is just ok. It lathers well and cleans the hair, thankfully it doesn’t strip or dry my hair out. It does contain PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate so it’s not something I would repurchase.
Sukin Nourishing Conditioner 50ml

Glossworks Nail Polish – Come Clay With Me 9ml | £12
Professionally formulated, high coverage shades with a volumising, gel like texture; and an extremely glossy finish that does not fade.
Come Clay With Me is a warm, pink tan shade
Ingredients:
I’ve tried a few shades from Glossworks that I’ve loved. First of all I have to say they did a great job with the name ‘Come clay with me’…love it.
This is not a shade I would normally choose for myself but it looks pretty good on me once I applied. You really never know till you try it!
What do you think of this month’s box? Have you got any favourites?

The consistency is really light and I think would be more suited to fine hair types. It did an ok job on my hair. It has a good amount of slip and I was able to detangle my hair. My hair was soft after rinsing which was fine, but my hair requires more moisture. The scent is lovely though…citrus and vanilla.
