We all want to look and feel good but we shouldn’t have to make ugly compromises. Soil Association Certification is independent and rigorous. They review the entire manufacturing process including sourcing of ingredients, formulation procedures and premises, as well as packaging.
As a result of the growing demand for certified organic beauty worldwide, they teamed up with 4 other organisations (BDIH in Germany, Cosmebio and Ecocert in France and ICEA in Italy) to develop a new harmonised standard for organic and natural cosmetics, known as COSMOS (Cosmetic Organic Standard).
When you see the logo on a product you’re choosing a cosmetic product that says:
NO animal testing | YES to higher levels of antioxidants (up to 60%) |
NO GM | YES to sustainably sourced organic ingredients |
NO controversial chemicals | YES to transparent manufacturing processes |
NO parabens and phthalates | YES to biodegradable ingredients |
NO synthetic colours, dyes or fragrances | YES to minimal packaging with maximum recycled content |
NO nano particles | YES to protecting wildlife and biodiversity |

This is a lovely gentle cleansing balm with crushed rosehip petals to exfoliate as you cleanse. It smells amazing, I scoop a small amount into my palm and inhale. Then I gently massage into my skin and then remove with a warm muslin cloth. The directions say to use once a week, or whenever your skin feels lacklustre.
It dissolves and gently lifts dead skin cells without leaving my skin stripped. My skin feels deeply cleansed, brighter and smoother afterwards.

Lola ♡
I’m not a fan of soaps as many I’ve tried have been extremely drying. I love how gentle this one is. It lathers well and has a nice uplifting scent. I don’t use it on my face, just my body and for shaving. It deep cleanses without leaving my skin stripped. It has a nice slip when used for shaving, leaving my skin smooth and soft. It also lasted about 3 weeks with every day use.
