Ayumi Herbal Henna & 9 Himalayan Herbs (150g | £3.99)

Henna powder comes from a bush called lawsonia inermis which is found in India, North Africa and the Middle East. Our pure Henna is sourced from Rajastan, blended with the finest Himalayan herbs to nourish, condition hair naturally, leaving hair smooth, silky and stronger

Henna : widely known as ‘Mehandi’, has been used for hair conditioning for hundreds of years. It is a natural herbal powder which is not only used for colouring hair, but also to help prevent dandruff and scalp itching. Henna acts as a good conditioner for your hair and is considered to support hair growth.

Brahmi : has been used for boosting hair growth for thousands of years. Considered to be one of the best natural remedies to support healthy hair growth, brahmi soothes itchy and irritated scalps and is also used to improve the condition of the hair, leaving it nourished and soft to touch.

Amla :Often referred to as the ‘Indian Goosebery’, amla is indigenous to India. High in vitamin C and antioxidants, which helps to protect against the damaging effects of free radicals, amla is considered to stimulate hair follicles and protect the hair and scalp from drying. Amla is thought to strengthen hair and prevent breakage, whilst treating dandruff and other scalp conditions through its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.

Shikakai : Shikakai is an excellent cleanser for the hair and has a naturally low pH, which means it will not strip the hair of natural oils. It is also a great conditioner, detangling and adding shine to the hair. Shikakai is believed to promote hair growth and reduce hair fall.

Jatamasi : has nourishing and conditioning properties which help to strengthen and improve the texture of hair. Enhancing shine, it is widely used for promoting hair growth, preventing hair loss and breakage and greying hair.

Tulsi : Tulsi, or ‘Holy Basil’, has been considered as a miracle herb for thousands of years. It helps to cool the scalp, reducing itchiness and dandruff and thus promotes hair growth by ensuring the scalp is in optimum condition. Tulsi is also known to soothe skin conditions including allergic rashes.

Aloe Vera :Aloe vera can be used as a natural treatment to prevent hair loss. The natural enzymes found in aloe vera can soothe and moisturise the scalp, helping to eliminate dandruff. It helps to keep the hair’s natural oils in balance and acts as a natural conditioner, resulting in stronger and shinier hair.

Bhringraj : A natural remedy often used to promote hair growth, bhringraj is considered to prevent hair fall and breakage and strengthens the hair roots. It acts as a gentle conditioner, softening the hair and hydrating the scalp – perfect for healthy hair.

Neem : With high levels of antioxidants, neem protects the scalp from damage caused by free radiacals. Neem also has regenerative properties that support healthy cell division and stimulate hair follicle growth and function. Neem also contains several fatty acids that nourish and condition the scalp and hair. It’s moisturising effects help to restore dry hair to a smoothe and silky texture.

Hibiscus : Hibiscus has been used for thousands of years to encourage hair growth through stimulating circulation, discourage split ends and breakage and prevent premature greying of the hair. Hibiscus acts as a mild cleanser that helps with the elimination of toxins and is frequently used in combination with henna to naturally colour hair.

Ingredients:

Henna, Brahmi, Amla, Shikakai, Jatamasi, Tulsi, Aloe Vera, Bhringraj, Neem, Hibiscus.

How to use:

Soak Ayumi Herbal Henna in water for 2-3 hours in an iron bowl. Apply the paste thoroughly from the roots to the tip of the hair. Leave for 3-4 hours until dry. Rinse thoroughly with water.

I’ve been using Henna for a few years now and absolutely love it. When I use it regularly it makes my hair strands thicker, stronger and I have less breakage.

The combination of these 9 himalayan herbs increases the benefits. I like to do a henna treatment every 4-6 weeks to nourish my scalp and hair.

My hair looks and feels super healthy, it helps smooth my hair cuticles and my hair is so shiny after the treatment.

So I have to say the application is time consuming but its definitely worth it! It can also get messy and stain so avoid the mixture getting on surfaces, use old towels or t-shirts and lastly make sure to wear gloves as henna will stain your hands.

I like to apply the henna treatment to freshly washed hair while its still damp. I leave it on for 3-4 hours. After rinsing out the henna treatment, I deep condition my hair and then style.

Henna will colour and tint your hair naturally. The results you get will depend on how long you leave the henna and the natural colour of your hair. My natural hair colour is brown so I doesn’t leave my hair orange/reddish.

Have you tried Henna or Hair growth oils?
