We all have skincare goals and want to achieve healthy, glowing complexions. Cleansing the skin is the foundation of any skincare routine and is a non-negotiable step.
Cleansing the skin removes dirt, excess oil and makeup from the skin which can clog the pores and lead to breakouts and dullness. Cleansing the skin properly allows for better absorption of skincare products applied afterwards.

STEP 1: CLEANSE

This was the very first Tropic product I tried when they first launched and I absolutely love it.
It is available in a scented version with eucalyptus and rosemary essential oils, or an unscented version for supersensitive skin.
How to use:
- Apply 2-4 pumps onto your dry face and neck twice daily, treating yourself to a relaxing massage to reset your mind and stimulate your senses.
- If you’re wearing makeup, rinse off with warm water and reapply for a second cleanse.
- Then, soak your Bamboo Cloth in warm water and use it to gently steam and exfoliate your skin, removing any excess product. Finish with a refreshing splash of cold water.
The consistency is like a luxurious silky cream that melts into an oil as you massage it in. It feels totally pampering on my skin. The bamboo cloth helps to elevate the cleansing experience. My skin feels cleansed, balanced, refreshed, soft and smooth.
TROPIC CLEAR SKIES cleansing powder 60g
Expertly formulated for blemish-prone skin, this powerful, water-activated powder refines, clarifies and smooths complexions. Packed with powerful plant actives, the formula will transform into a soft and creamy foam with just a few drops of water.

How to use:
- Shake half to a full teaspoon of the powder into your palm and then mix with a few drops of water to activate.
- Spread between your hands to create a creamy lather, before massaging into your face using circular motions, carefully avoiding the delicate eye area.
- Rinse to remove any excess and splash with a little cold water afterwards for ultimate refreshment.
- Use once or twice daily on its own, or as a second cleanse after Smoothing Cleanser.
I love to double cleanse in the evening, so after using the Smoothing Cleanser I follow up with Clear Skies.
The formula is gentle enough for daily use to deeply cleanse the skin and slough off dead skin cells. It also helps to refine the pores, brighten and smooth the skin leaving it feeling soft, smooth and clean but never stripped.
STEP 2 : EXFOLIATE

One of our original Tropic products, this iconic exfoliator carefully loosens and lifts dead skin cells to reveal smoother, softer, more radiant skin.

Exfoliating once or twice a week (depending on your skin) is an essential step in your skincare routine. Unlike other exfoliators that can be drying and aggressive, this face polish uses gentle bamboo silica spheres to polish the skin, removing dead skin cells and revealing fresh skin. A twist of sweet orange, lemon and lime essential oils creates an invigorating aroma that leaves you feeling pepped up and ready to go.
How to use:
- Best used in the shower, gently massage a small amount into your wet face, neck and décolletage, being careful to avoid any sensitive areas like your eyes.
- Then, rinse with warm water to wash any remaining exfoliating particles away and reveal super-soft skin.
This face polish has a gorgeous scent and the formula is not too abrasive on my skin. It sloughs away dead skin cells, softens and smooths my skin. My skin feels brighter with a healthy glow.
