What is a pre-cleanser?

Pre-cleansing products, typically oil-based, are intended for use before your regular cleanser. Oils can penetrate the skin to attract and remove dirt, oil, and makeup, thus pre-cleansers help in eliminating these impurities. This allows your primary cleanser to perform its intended function—cleansing your skin more effectively.

Removing surface dirt and grime allows your chosen facial cleanser to penetrate deeper and clean more effectively, promoting clearer and healthier skin with fewer breakouts.

Use morning and night on its own, or as a pre-cleanse before Clear Skies or Smoothing Cleanser.

With dry hands, apply 1-2 pumps onto dry skin and massage all over, paying special attention to areas of texture and clogged pores, like your nose, for at least 30 seconds. If you have dry, sensitive or more mature skin, avoid deeply massaging all over and instead focus on targeting areas of congestion only.

Rinse off with warm water and finish with a few splashes of cold water.

This cleanser is a pleasure to use, the silky texture of the oil is delightful, and it has a beautiful scent. I apply it to dry skin and gently massage for about a minute, allowing the oil to deeply penetrate the pores and extract impurities.

I dampen my hands and proceed to massage, forming a light, milky emulsion, then rinse off with warm water. Pre-cleansing allows my second cleanser to be more effective. For the second cleanse, I use either Clear Skies or Smoothing Cleanser.

Incorporating this oil into my routine has resulted in the deepest cleanse I’ve ever experienced. I have noticed a difference in my skin’s texture and tone. It’s become smoother, softer, more even, brighter, and clearer. This has become a new staple for me!
