My Experience at NOPEX - Natural and Organic Products Expo 2024

Natural & Organic Products Expo (NOPEX), formerly Natural & Organic Products Europe, is the leading TRADE ONLY event for discovering the very best natural, organic and sustainable products.

NOPEX is the perfect place for exploring the latest eco-friendly products and trends and serves as a stage for innovators to showcase their latest products to potential buyers.

Since 1997, Natural & Organic Products Europe has been the place where distributors, retailers, wholesalers, importers and exporters source the best natural, organic, planet-based, free-from and sustainable products for their customers. It also provides a world-class keynote programme full of the most important topics, trends, and inspiration for the industry.

Welcome to NOPEX 2024

The event has undergone a rebranding, now featuring a brand-new contemporary look that unifies three expos into one: the Natural Health Expo, Natural Food Expo, and Natural Beauty Expo.

This year’s event was impressive. NOPEX featured a wealth of attractions, including exhibitors from various countries representing over 500 brands with their innovative products, two award ceremonies, celebrity speakers like Mary Portas and Renee Elliot, a festival-style central café sponsored by Clipper Tea, innovation showcases, a photobooth, onsite massages, and even theatrical walking trees.

I registered for a Press Pass prior to the event and decided to visit on day one, Sunday. The online Show Guide came in handy as it helped me plan my visit. It included a full list of exhibitors, seminar timetables, product listings, floorplan and much more.

There was so much to see, but the floorplan was easy to navigate. The atmosphere was vibrant and everyone was exceptionally warm and welcoming.

I had a wonderful day full of networking, discovering new brands, and tasting a variety of delicious foods and beverages.

Two Innovation Showcases: featuring the latest natural and organic products that have been launched in the last 12 months. Attendees can explore and vote for their favourite products to win the Prestigious Innovation Awards.

Innovation Awards: the expo hosts the prestigious Natural & Organic Innovation Awards. All products entered into these awards are brand new and many of them launch exclusively at the show. The awards are voted on by visitors to the show and a range of industry experts.

A Packed Seminar Programme: featuring industry experts including headliners Mary Portas OBE, Planet Organic’s founder Renée Elliott and best-selling author, Daniel Priestley. Plus, talks with Oliver Chadwyck-Healey, Branded Innovation Manager at Waitrose & Partners and Mike Barry, Former Director of Sustainable Business at Marks & Spencer.

The home of conscious beauty

One of my favourite stands to visit is Kinetic Natural Product Distributor who have been suppliers of ethical, natural and organic beauty, nutrition and superfood brands to the health food industry and practitioners for over 23 years.

I was excited to see Giovanni’s new Eco Chic Kids Collection which features a shampoo & conditioner, Curl Activator Spray, Styling, taming & Curl cream, Hair smoothing and detangling spray and Leave-in conditioning & styling elixir.

The products smell amazing with a refreshing and uplifting scent of watermelon and strawberry. I look forward to trying them out when it launches.

Lucy Bee showcased her brands Lucy Bee which offers a range of results-driven organic and natural skincare products that are vegan and cruelty-free. She also showcased her newest brand “Little Bee” a paediatrician approved skincare and toiletries baby/children range. The products are suitable for eczema prone skin, 100% palm oil free, fragrance free, COSMOS Organic, Cruelty Free, Vegan and Made in the UK.

ODYLIQUE is one of Britain’s most loved sensitive skincare, makeup and haircare brands. Certified organic, natural and cruelty-free since 2003. Salt of the Earth has been a pioneer in the natural and vegan deodorant market in the UK since its establishment in 1993. They showcased 2 new products:

Refillable Clary Sage & Mint Spray and Roll-on Deodorant: Fragrances with the menopause in mind, this new offering combines clary sage for its calming effects with the cooling properties of mint. It’s available in both spray and roll-on formats, with refill bottles that significantly reduce plastic waste.
Spiced Gingerbread Spray Deodorant: the new fragrance of spiced gingerbread instantly brings you into the festive spirit.

Dr Squatch is the #1 natural men’s personal care brand in the USA. They are expanding into the UK and showcased their range of products for the first time in the UK at NOPEX.

Their hero products include natural cold process bar soap, deodorant and hair care. Dr. Squatch wants all men to “Feel Like a Man, Smell Like a Champion” with their natural, high-performance products formulated in the USA.

CLIGANIC is a US based brand that produces a range of organic and natural skincare products. They are committed to providing high-quality, cruelty-free, and affordable products that are safe for both users and the environment. Cliganic’s products are certified by various organizations, including USDA Organic, Ecocert, and Leaping Bunny

It was great catching up with UpCircle – the UK’s #1 upcycled beauty brand. They make sustainable & award-winning skincare, haircare & bodycare using upcycled ingredients. Their products are made by hand in the UK, and certified by B Corp, Vegan Society, Leaping Bunny & COSMOS.

Absolute Aromas have been experts in Aromatherapy since 1994. They offer an extensive array of Aromatherapy products, including Essential Oils, Bath Salts, Spa Oils, and Ultrasonic Diffusers.

ATTITUDE is a privately owned Canadian company that develops natural personal care and household products, dedicated to promoting healthy living. They have developed a complete range of effective and plastic-free body and beauty products to reduce the use of single-use plastic.

Cress Natural Products distribute and market a range of brands which include Antipodes, Balmonds, Sukin, HayMax, Herbatint, Incognito, Royal Greens, Sasy n Savy, Tisserand and The Handmade Soap Co. It was great to newly launched Rosemary Hair Oil from Tisserand which won Best New Haircare Product in the Innovation Awards.

Georganics are specialists in natural and organic oral care. They believe in using 100% natural, sustainable ingredients for oral hygiene. Their products are free from synthetic fluoride, SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), and glycerine. Their oral care products come in low-impact, plastic-free packaging, making them more environmentally friendly.

Glebe Farm is an independent British business located in Cambridgeshire, UK and managed by siblings Philip and Rebecca Rayner on their family-owned farm. SORSO began as a labour of love in a London home, where the founder, Sandra, created her own traditional-inspired sauces in small batches over the weekends. SUPERKEEN is an exciting food brand founded by Caragh Keane, who embarked on a transformative journey after being diagnosed with Lupus in 2021. She received an innovation grant from The Growth Hub and collaborated with the University of Manchester to develop a unique popped cereal. This cereal, called SUPERKEEN, is made from nutrient-dense Tiger Nut Flour and Cassava Flour. The coating includes Date Syrup, Coconut Sugar, Coconut Oil, and flavours like Cinnamon and Cocoa. SUPERKEEN will also be the first AIP (Autoimmune Protocol) friendly brand in the UK.

The Original – Deliciously sweet baked cereal powered by tiger nuts was awarded Best New Special Diet Product at the Innovation Awards.

The brand will be launching this summer on their website. Keep an eye out for exciting flavours, protein-supplemented cereals, and even a ground-breaking “No Nut Nut-Butter.

For more than 50 years, YOGI TEA has been crafting delicious organic herbal and spiced teas, inspired by Ayurverda. I’m quite fond of their herbal tea blends.
