I can’t believe today is the last day of February, this month has flown by so quickly! Plus the cold weather isn’t letting up either as we’ve had some snow this week.
So it’s time to share February’s LoveLula Beauty Box. This month’s box is worth £65 and contained 3 full size products and 1 sample size. I love that these boxes always deliver excellent value for money!
I’ve had a chance to check out the contents and it’s time to share my thoughts…
Ooh! – Oils of Heaven Organic Avocado Hydrating Face Oil (30ml / £19)
Our organic Avocado oil is cold pressed from the Avocado pulp. Organic Avocado oil is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins A, D and E and can thus provide your skin with deep hydration and protection.
I’m a big fan of Ooh! oils of heaven and was excited to see their new addition Avocado oil.
Avocado oil has so many benefits and is great for skin and hair. The colour is dark green and it has a nutty smell, some might find it strong but I don’t think the scent is unpleasant.
The consistency is thick but I find it absorbs easily into the skin without leaving it greasy. This cold weather and central heating has left my skin more dehydrated and I love how this oil hydrates and softens my skin.
I also like to use on my hair. If you’ve got dry, brittle and damaged hair, this is a good moisturising oil to use. I use it to moisturise and seal the ends of my hair. It also works well as a dry scalp treatment – I mix a few drops with some Rosemary or Peppermint essential oil, leave it for 30 mins and then shampoo.
Pure & Light Organic Essential Face Cream (15ml sample | 50ml /£34)
Containing a ground-breaking 27 active certified organic ingredients and naturally rich in vitamins and antioxidants, Pure & Light Organic’s Essential Face Cream deeply penetrates the skin to enhance blood circulation, support oxygenation and collagen production and promote supple younger looking skin.
Ingredients:
This face cream has been featured in a previous beauty box and I enjoyed using it. The texture is light and creamy and it absorbs quickly into the skin. I love the scent…floral and citrusy. As it’s been extremely cold I need a face cream to moisturise and protect my skin from the harsh weather. Thankfully this face cream delivers so I’m happy!
UrbanVeda Radiance Hydrating Toner (150ml / £9.74)
Ingredients:
OK so I’ve shared my views on UrbanVeda a few times…their ingredients are not the best. So I wasn’t really surprised this toner would be a no no! for me.
It contains ‘alcohol denat’ which is very stripping and drys out my skin. There are some other suspect ingredients plus it has an overpowering synthetic perfume scent.
No thank you but I’ll be passing it on to a friend.
Madara Exfoliating Scrub Oil to Milk (60ml / £24)
Forget harsh scrubs – this luxurious and rich oil-based exfoliating formula smoothly transforms into a delicate milk to gently cleanse, soften and renew the skin without stripping natural moisture. Apricot and oat oil molecules bind the dirt and impurities, while natural and gentle wax microbeads help to relieve clogged pores, buff-off dead cells and polish the skin. Stimulates natural cell turnover. You will see a softer, smoother, visibly brighter, cleaner and more glowing complexion.
Ingredients:
At first I was like hmmm another Madara product again! However it’s a new one for me so I kept an open mind and tried it out.
I have to admit it’s my favourite product in the box. It’s a gentle, non-abrasive scrub. The formula is interesting, it changes texture as you use it. The oils help to bind excess oil, dirt and impurities while the wax micro-pearls gently buff away dead cells and unclog the pores.
I apply to dry skin and gently massage for about a minute, then I wet my hands and massage again as it turns to a milk.
After rinsing my skin feels smooth, soft and visibly brighter with a nice glow. I highly recommend this!
What do you think of this month’s box? Have you got any favourites?
